Entry for :iconjonda-love: Good Morning contest.

John is greeting Wanda VERY early in the morning with a breakfast in bed of burnt toast and eggs. You can kinda see Wanda's surprised expression in the mason jar of juice.

This was originally a charcoal, but I didn't really care for it. I couldn't get it to look the way I wanted it. So I played around with it in Adobe ImageReady and I got something I liked better. It still doesn't look finished, but I won't have time to play with it more before the contest deadline is up.

Heeee! Hey I really like this!! :D!! I love the texture that the whole picture seems to have; it almost looks like we're watching them from some really cool window. Oh my gosh, John would CHAR that poor food to pieces xD I like the smoke a lot, and John's expression--he looks SO stoked there. :D And minor detail, but I really love his thumbs too xD KISS THE COOK WANDA. But hex him first for getting you up so early xD Anyway, I really like this picture a lot! Goood luck in the contest! :heart:

Great theme for the first contest, btw. It wasn't typical or boring. It was actually a little challenging to come up with an idea, but in a good way. It was fun.

Thanks :) I love adding to humor to art. It isn't always so easy, at least for me. You have one snapshot in time to portray an entire joke/story and people's expressions have to be just right.

*lol* I'm glad with how it turned out too. You have no idea how many times I stared in a mirror trying to see how I looked when I smiled so hard my eyes shut. Quite a task. Eventually I gave up and started watching people until they laughed or smiled and then tried to remember it until I got back to paper.
